The Calf Performance Pathway - Dublin

The Calf Performance Pathway - Dublin

Dublin Sports ClinicDublin, Dublin
Saturday, May 23, 2026 from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm
Overview

A practical evidence led masterclass on calf rehabilitation.

The Calf Performance Pathway is an intensive, clinically driven 1-day course designed to elevate your assessment, loading strategies, and return-to-play decision-making for calf-related injuries.

This course bridges the gap between biomechanics, tendon and muscle loading principles, and real-world clinical reasoning. Through a blend of focused theory sessions, hands-on practical labs, and interactive case discussions, you will develop a clear, structured framework that can be immediately integrated into your daily practice.

By the end of the day, participants will:

• Deliver a structured, performance-focused calf assessment integrating clinical findings, imaging and strength/capacity profiling

• Design and progress stage-appropriate loading programmes grounded in clear clinical reasoning

• Apply objective performance testing and sEMG-informed insights to guide progression and optimise muscle recruitment

• Make confident, defensible return-to-play decisions aligned with sport-specific performance demands

This is a course built not just to improve knowledge — it's a practical framework aimed to sharpen decision-making and elevate real-world impact in clinic and high-performance environments. The course is designed and delivered by experienced clinicians and performance specialists including Garrett Coughlan, Emma Gallivan, and Kevin Cronin, bringing together expertise from elite sport, private practice, and high-performance environments.

Designed for Physiotherapists, Athletic Trainers and Sports + Exercise Medicine Doctors who want a practical, evidence-informed framework for managing calf injuries from initial presentation through to performance-level return.
