About this event

  • Event lasts 2 hours

What are the different types of rest, and how do we identify what sort of rest we need?

How can we support each other to ensure we are getting sufficient rest?

How does the service understand the impact of burnout, compassion fatigue and secondary trauma on the relationship between carers and the professionals?

Please join us for an essential conversation about the importance of rest for all in the sector, particularly for caregivers.

This event is a conversation, and we want to hear as many perspectives as possible. All carers and staff from across Children's Social Care are invited to participate. We will compile a list of recommendations for rest-related practices.

The session, led by yoga practitioner Louise Henry, will include gentle wellbeing practices such as restorative yoga and sound healing.

This event is part of our commitment to adopting a collaborative, co-parenting approach to fostering. It is an opportunity for all the adults in the network of support surrounding the children to support and care for one another.
