<h3>The CAVEAT Toolkit</h3><h3></h3><h3>Introducing a free online resource to support voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) organisations to evaluate their services and demonstrate impact.</h3><h3></h3><h3>VCSE organisations and volunteers have always played a crucial role in providing practical and emotional support to older people in our communities.  This has never been more apparent than during and since the COVID-19 pandemic, supporting our health and social care system.</h3><h3></h3><h3>During the first lockdown, researchers from the University of Kent, Brighton and Sussex Medical School and the University of Surrey, carried out a study looking at community-based volunteering in response to COVID-19 - the COV-VOL project.  Whilst the contribution of VCSE organisations was clearly an essential part of the pandemic response, many shared concerns of future funding and on-going sustainability, and the challenge of collecting and presenting data that demonstrates the impact of their services.  This information is essential for funding, quality and service improvement, and the development of new services.    </h3><h3></h3><h3>To address this need, the research team has developed the Community and Voluntary Evaluation Tool (CAVEAT), a FREE co-produced on-line resource that enables organisations to confidently collect and present their data and demonstrate the impacts they make to older people in their communities.</h3><h3>Please join us on 28th June from 1pm to 2:30pm for the launch of the Toolkit and hear how it can support VCSE organisations, funding bodies and commissioners.</h3><h3></h3><h3><a href="https://arc-kss.nihr.ac.uk/document-download/371-caveat-launch-agenda-280623/file" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">C﻿lick here</a> to view the agenda for this event.</h3><p></p><h3>This project was funded by the NIHR Applied Research Collaboration Kent, Surrey and Sussex.</h3><p></p>
