The Chronicler: Ash Martin
Ash Martin responds to Sightseers exhibition
Through imaginary cultural studies, anamorphic storytelling, and drag performance, multidisciplinary artist Ash Martin steps into the Sightseers’ multiverse as The Chronicler, an entity intent on uncovering the speculative histories and motives of the larger-than-life, multicoloured beings found inhabiting this world.
The Chronicler is a new performance commission merging sci-fi drag with abstract poetry and storytelling, punctuating these with strange ceremonial acts held within a shifting sonic landscape that builds upon the world of the Sightseers.
