The Climate Within

The Climate Within

Catherine's PlaceLeeds, England
Thursday, Feb 12 from 7 pm to 8:30 pm GMT
Overview

A calm space to explore climate emotions and unwind with a restorative Yoga Nidra practice. Grounding, connection, deep rest for all.

What is a Climate Circle?

A climate circle is a gentle, supportive space to explore how the climate crisis impacts us emotionally. It’s not therapy, it's just a calm listening space where people can reflect, share (only if they want to), and feel a sense of connection. Climate emotions can range from worry and uncertainty to hope and determination. Everything is welcome, and nothing needs 'fixing'.

What is Yoga Nidra?

Yoga Nidra is a deeply restful guided meditation practised lying down. It helps calm the nervous system, ease tension, and bring the mind into a quiet, restorative state. You simply lie comfortably, listen, and let your body drop into deep rest. No experience is needed, and there’s no movement involved.

What to Expect

Expect a gentle, grounding evening in a small group. We’ll begin with a simple check-in and reflective discussion about climate emotions, followed by a restorative Yoga Nidra session to help you rest and reset. You’re welcome to participate as much or as little as you like, just being in the space is enough.

FAQ's:

Do I have to speak? Not if you don't want to, listening and being present is very welcome.

Is this therapy? No. It is a facilitated wellbeing workshop.

Do I need yoga experience? No. Yoga Nidra is guided rest only.

What should I bring? You may want some warm layers, the venue will have mats, bolsters etc.

Is it suitable for climate anxiety? Yes, absolutely.

Is ther an age requirement? 16+
