Event description

Description

Burial, cremation, being eaten by vultures, being dissolved in lime: what are the good and bad things about the options for dealing with our bodies after death? Is cremation less 'green' than burial? Does that matter? This interactive workshop will help you decide what will be best for you and take a little bit of the fear out of contemplating our endings.

This workshop will not show any images of dead bodies but it may not be suitable for someone in bereavment or feeling particularly vulnerable about the death. The workshop will be faciltated by Sophie Churchill who is the founder of The Corpse Project. It asks 'How can we lay our bodies to rest in ways that help the living and the earth?' and provides impartial information on the choices.Sophie has been interested in good dying as a help to living well for a long time and now works in agriculture. In 2011, she wa awarded an OBE for services to the environment.
