Event description

Description

Armagh, Banbridge & Craigavon Policing & Community Safety Partnership (PCSP) is delighted to be hosting the acclaimed play ‘The Current’ in Portadown Town Hall on Wednesday 22nd November 2017 at 7pm. The PCSP would encourage all youth groups or anyone working with young people to bring them along!

Written by Pamela Cassells School of Performance founder, Pamela Cassells-Totton, The Current takes a very realistic look at the lives of five teenagers who have finished school for the summer. It is a tale of love, loss and regret, beautifully presented with a stunning underscore by acclaimed composer, Mark Dougherty.

This production tackles hard-hitting issues around anti-social behaviour and underage drinking in a way that's never been seen before. As the script progresses, the reality of their behaviours and the lasting impacts of them are portrayed.
