About this event

  • 4 hours 30 minutes

With nearly 900,000 Londoners burdened by the cost of internet access and a further 1.3 million lacking the basic digital skills to access online services, digital poverty is undeniably a critical and complex issue for our time.

So many can’t access the digital world, so how do we equitably keep apace with technological change and make digital access for all possible? We must give every community the opportunity to design digital solutions that work for them. If not, health will falter, and communities will fracture.

On Friday 14th June 2024 the London Health Inequalities & Community Development Network will be hosting our next event, coming together to network, share insights, learning and practical examples of work in community development with a focus on Digital Inclusion.

What to expect:

  • Members from the London Health Inequalities & Community Development Network will welcome us and guide us through the session.
  • Expert speakers: Age UK London and the London Integrated Care System (ICS).
  • Experts by experience: Using immersive illustrations to share insights and their stories.
  • Innovations in practice: You will have chance to hear directly from colleagues about different approaches and examples of work taking place in London.
  • Stimulating conversation: We want to hear your insights, experiences and challenges.
  • Networking: Share and connect with colleagues across sectors.

Joining us will be colleagues from VCS, public health and local authorities from across London. Please register to confirm your attendance by 7th June 2024.

Organized by

The London Health Inequalities & Community Development Network brings together individuals and organisations working across public health, local authority, voluntary and community sectors throughout London with the shared goal of improving health inequalities.

In our collective communities and workplaces, we are integral to bolstering the health of the people around us. By coming together as a network, we share ideas, experiences and best practice to support each other and strengthen the Greater London Authorities Recovery Missions and the Mayor’s London Health Inequalities Strategy. As a network we amplify the power of community development and collaborative approaches within our organisations with the aim of ensuring that community views are fed into decision making at local, sub-regional and pan London levels.
