The Elan Valley Run. Hundreds of mini owners from all over the UK and Europe gather in the heart of Wales for a fun filled weekend.

The Elan Valley Run is back again for its 10 year anniversary, join us for a fun filled weekend on the 31st July-2nd August.

This isn’t just a drive out, this is a very special event that brings mini owners together from all over the world for an unforgettable weekend in the heart of Wales.

Mini fans attending from all corners of the UK, we’ve had friends join us from different countries across Europe and even from down under Australia.

2026 is the 10th anniversary and we are making it the best one yet.

Our base camp for this spectacular event is at Penmaenau Farm located in the heart of Wales in Builth Wells, right next to the Royal Welsh Country show grounds.

Gates open on the Friday at 12:00 noon and close at 22:00

This campsite is built to host large scale events so everything is already there in house.

Over x30 running hot showers, clean flushing toilets with hot running water/sinks/soap dispensers. No Portaloos!!!

Catering and bar also on the site.

Indoor arena with a large stage that can accommodate 2000 people.

Catering is also available on site.

Bbqs are allowed but must be off the ground (not permitted during extreme dry spells)

Well behaved dogs/owners are allowed on site but dogs aren’t permitted to be inside the arena (we don’t want them getting stepped on)

So what is it?

For you newbies out there, this is the mini event you don’t want to miss!

It’s the largest mini convoy on the 2026 calendar as we are taking hundreds of minis around the Elan Valley reservoirs.

Join us for the largest gathering of mini owners in Wales for a long weekend of fun and holiday activities around Builth Wells, Rhayader and the breathtaking Elan Valley reservoir.

Friday.

Upon arrival you will receive your run packs, inside you will find maps with a list of local attractions/activities, places of interest and dining suggestions.

Also an itinerary of drives and activities that we have planned for you to enjoy throughout the weekend.

Once you have signed in you will be allocated into groups/camping areas.

Get yourself settled in because it’s going to be a weekend you’re never going to forget.

Hotels are also available in the local town of Builth Wells and within 10 minutes walk from the venue, we do recommend booking your hotel rooms quick to avoid disappointment.

On site we will have the bar open Friday and Saturday evening with music playing.

This is a family based event and everyone is welcome, with activities and games the kids are going to be happy and entertained throughout the entire weekend.

Saturday

Starting the day with a drivers briefing, then you are broken down into groups and sent out on the first drive of the day, a scenic 1 hour drive on some fun Welsh country roads.

Once back at base you have several hours to enjoy the local attractions and try out our other driving routes.

In the afternoon we have the veterans run, an unforgettable driving experience taking your mini on a 90 minute blast through the Ministry of Defence training ground in the Brecon Beacons.

We can then head back to camp and cool off with our legendary 150ft waterslide.

Saturday night we are bringing the entertainment to you with a swinging 60s music themed evening with fancy dress and live performances.

Prizes for the best fancy dressed club.

Sunday.

The Elan Valley Run.

Sunday is the big day where hundreds of minis gather together and drive around the Elan Valley reservoir.

Spectators from all over attend this event just to watch the minis whizzing through the valleys.

The event officially finishes at the end of the run.

Clubs must contact us direct to ensure you are kept together (Drivers tickets are reduced to £55 for clubs with over x5 minis booked)

Campervan/Motorhomes & trailers are welcome, they will be allocated to a separate camping field.

No electric hook up available.

Dogs

Well behaved dogs are welcome on site but must be on a lead at all times and owners are to clean up after them.

Dogs aren’t permitted inside the arena.

House rules!!!

SITE SPEED LIMIT IS 5MPH

No drugs

No glass

No antisocial behaviour

No refunds

Alcohol and food from off site to must be eaten/drank in the campsite, not in or around the arena.

No dangerous driving at any time, please stick to 20mph in the villages and don’t ruin it for everyone.

No dogs in the arena

BBQS must be off the ground

Only x1 person on the waterslide at a time

Gates are locked at 10pm and reopen at 8am (security is available 24/7 incase of emergency)

No music/noise in the camping area after 11pm

Fail to comply with the rules may result in being removed from the site and banned from future events.
