The Embodied Voice is a voice class, but with a twist!

In this supportive class, we do not focus on making "pretty" or "good" sounds but rather make sounds that are honest expressions of where we are at today, however impolite & however abstract.

As we explore the different aspects of expression practicing healthy voice technique (relaxation, good body use & awareness, diaphragmatic breath, etc.), we aim to be fully present & embodied and practice kindness and non-judgement as we notice what is happening in our bodies. We use EFT & EMDR throughout the session as part of the practice in case any difficult emotions come up.

Be ready to be in your body & to roll around on the floor, if you are comfortable to do so, adjustments available, and be prepared to make sounds together! The session is roughly 60 minutes with 15 minutes to reflect on our experiences at the end.

For the session, please bring:

Water

loose, comfy clothes, with extra layers for warmth

yoga mat
