The types of freight and passenger trains that passed up and down; where they originated and their ultimate destination. There was one prestige passenger train that passed twice daily – without a single passenger on board! The architecture of the stations - some still exists. The people, pay and conditions. Although very much a steam railway to 1968, there will be images of more modern traction, up to the last Freightliner in October 1988.The trains ran where today, the FALLOWFIELD LOOP cycleway exists, between Chorlton &amp; Fairfield.Our picture shows LNER B17 Class No.1664 &quot;Liverpool&quot; storming through Wilbraham Road station with an east-bound express in 1946 or 47.
