Fostering Brunch: Open Conversation in a Time of Change

The fostering sector is evolving. With national reform, recruitment pressures and changing expectations of assessment and support, this feels like an important moment to pause and talk together.

The Fostering Brunch is a warm, welcoming space for thoughtful conversation about what is happening in the sector and what it means in reality. This is not a formal conference or presentation. It is a chance to connect, reflect and share lived and professional experience over coffee and pastries.

We are bringing together Social Workers, Foster Carers, previously registered Foster Carers and people with care experience. Each voice matters. The aim is to create balanced, respectful discussion where we can explore current changes, share insights from the frontline and consider what good fostering looks like now and in the future.

Whether you are still navigating the reform, thinking about retention, feel unheard by the changes, or simply want to connect with others who care deeply about fostering, this brunch offers space for open dialogue and honest reflection.

Come as you are. Bring your perspective. Leave with new connections, fresh thinking and a stronger sense that we are all on the same team.

You will be provided with a certificate and CDP log for your attendance to support you in any CPD requirements you need to evidence such as your TSDS/annual review/SWE registration.
