WORLDwrite is a unique and award winning education charity, known for its hard-hitting documentaries and online citizenTV station WORLDbytes. Dedicated to advancing new knowledge, skills and ideas, the charity provides free training to young people in all aspects of video production. Free speech, democracy, freedom and equality are founding principles, reflected in all the charity's projects and programmes.

At the Freedom Babbleon 100 audacious lovers of liberty will tell us why freedom and free speech are essential for humanity to thrive. 

The Freedom Babbleon has 100 contributors taking part including many high-profile speakers and comedians, all outspoken lovers of liberty. This is a free event via Zoom, with a suggested donation of £5-£10 to the charity WORLDwrite who are the organisers. The zoom link for this event will be sent to you once you have registered.WORLDwrite is organizing the <a href="https://www.worldwrite.org.uk/news-events/freedom-babbleon/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Freedom Babbleon</a> to remind the world that freedom and free speech underpin our humanity. Over 100 speakers, singers, comedians, volunteers and activists from all walks of life will tell us why freedom is so essential for humanity to thrive. On Saturday 19th December from 10 am to 6.15pm contributors will share their thoughts, a video or song for 4-minutes apiece, to remind us why freedom and free speech matters. The event will be recorded for numerous videos to be shared globally at a later date. Across the globe, freedom of assembly has been cast aside, rallies, protests and public events made a criminal offence and free speech treated as expendable rather than foundational. Not since the McCarthy era has freedom to live our private lives or to express ourselves been so constrained. We are in danger of allowing an anti-democratic and frighteningly authoritarian world to take shape. One in which even our most basic friendships and family get togethers are decided by government diktat and decree. The Freedom Babbleon aims to make freedom the talking point, question anti-human developments and re-ignite public debate. This is not about putting people&#x27;s health at risk but recognising that freedom is essential to even have a healthy life.Please dig deep and sponsor this event now on our justgiving page or when you register here on Eventbrite.
