Event description

Description

This November, Creative Carbon Scotland will be hosting a full day of discussion on how and why the cultural sector is creatively approaching environmental sustainability.

Building on the success of 50 Shades of Green: Stories of Sustainability in the Arts Sector (2015) and 51 Shades of Green: Action in the Arts (2016), this year’s conference will highlight and share the innovative steps the sector is taking to reducing its environmental impact, and challenge how the arts can contribute to a more sustainable Scotland.

What to Expect

With a specific ‘spotlight’ on the knowledge, learning and skills Green Champions and their cultural sector colleagues need in their roles, the event will be a mix of plenary talks, interactive workshops and facilitated networking, all with the aim of growing internal confidence and external prominence of the work of the sector!

Programme Information

We'll be releasing a full programme in advance of the event, and attendees will be invited to sign up for particular sessions in the week before, as well as being able to sign-up on the day for our smaller sessions and workshops.

Who Should Attend

Whether you’re a Green Arts Initiative member, a Regularly Funded Organisation working towards Creative Scotland’s ‘Environment’ Connecting Theme, an arts venue keen to find out what your peers are doing, an arts company who has been working on sustainability for years, or just coming to sustainability in the sector for the first time, there will be something for you!

Questions and Opportunities

If you have any questions about the event, think you have something you could share with other attendees, or fancy a conversation on arts and sustainability more generally, get in touch!

The Green Arts Initiative is supported year-round by carbon neutral print company, PR Print and Design, and the Green Arts Conference will also be showcasing some of the best sustainable suppliers in the country: Take One Media, the Green Stationary Company, Resource Efficient Scotland and Vegware!
