Live at the Temple of Art and Music
For those visiting London and looking to step off the well-trodden path, the Temple of Art and Music offers one of the city’s true hidden gems.
Formed in 2026, London-based surf rock outfit The High Wave channel the raw, sun-drenched energy of ’60s instrumental legends like Dick Dale and The Ventures — reimagined with sharp modern precision.
Fronted by Seb Rock City (electric guitar, vocals), alongside Dom Thatcher (saxophone, guitar, vocals), Giulia Salvia (bass, vocals) and Karen Butter Fry (drums), the band delivers a set that feels cinematic, fast-paced and immersive.
Spiralling guitar lines, punchy sax melodies and a driving rhythm section fuse nostalgia with contemporary edge. It’s stylish, tightly played, and impossible to stand still to — the kind of live experience you stumble upon and remember long after you’ve left the city.
If you’re in London and curious to discover what’s happening beyond the obvious, this is your invitation.
