About this Event

"O'Sullivan's dream pop mantras casually open up portals into other dimensions." – UNCUT

"The music of Daniel O'Sullivan plays like a haunted jukebox." - THE WIRE

"Majestic future-pop, pastoral acid-folk devotionals and nu-age electronic psychedelia combine ecstatically in an aurora of sonic incantations." - ELECTRONIC SOUND

The New Arts & Music Programme at Sutton House holds a two night residency for the London launch of Daniel O’Sullivan’s new album, Folly. Set in the Arts & Crafts era wing of Hackney’s Tudor manor house, O’Sullivan performs songs from Folly with his ensemble Quaternion, on Friday 5 April, and as Enoch Triangle on Saturday 6 April. Special guests from the O Genesis family, Richard Youngs and The Silver Field, support on the Friday while Peter Broderick and Thighpaulsandra (Coil, Julian Cope Band, Spiritualized), who recorded and mixed the album, guest on the Saturday.

Folly, out on O Genesis Recordings on 5 April 2019, is O’Sullivan’s second album under his own name and embodies a confident, evolution from his acclaimed debut VELD (2017, O Genesis), an album which distilled the multiverse into a rich and complex soundworld; textured and allusive, alive with sonic diversions, hypnotic mantras and ornately arranged songcraft.

This is the second of a two night residency. For more info and timings:
