This is an interesting walking tour led by David Glover looking at the Old High level railway which has now disappeared. In its time it was a very busy and important contribution to life in halifax. This promises to be a very popular tour so early booking is advisable.
The walk is a fund rasing walk for Halifax Civic Trust and will go towards a number of Blue Plaque unveilings being planned.
The walk starts at the site of St Paul’s terminus, Queens Road HX1 3YN ( at the corner of Queens Road and Parkinson Lane at the new development - look out for the HCT Steward and David Glover in a High Visibility Jacket with HCT on it)
We finish near Rye Gate Farm, Doctor Hill HX2 0TG
Refreshments are at Christ Church, Pellon. You will need to being cash to pay for any refreshments as these are not included in the ticket price.
SENSIBLE FOOTWEAR PLEASE - SOME STEEP CLIMBS AND DESCENTS AT THE END
