170 Rendle Street Stonehouse PL1 1TP United KingdomHello! My name is Maggie, an art student in her graduating year. This is the first workshop series that I am running as an individual, without the support of Arts University Plymouth.
The workshop is aimed at identifying the differences in how we approach drawing, painting and printing our own likeness in comparison to that of another. Throughout we will be engaging in discussion about the topic of accuracy and self-analysis.
Whether you attend one workshop or three, your work will be guaranteed a place in ‘The Making of a Self Portrait’ evening exhibition at The Leadworks.
Week One: Charcoal Portraits will be a drawing focused session. You should expect to produce two self-portraits and one portrait of another workshop participant.
Willow charcoal, chalk, rubbers and A2 paper will be provided.
You will be able to purchase drinks at The Leadworks however if you would like anything to snack on during the session please bring it with you :)
This session is £5 per person, you may pay in cash or card on the day.
This is to cover the cost of materials and the venue only. I will be making no profit on these sessions.
