The Missing Tower Ceilidh

The preservation of our heritage and the promotion of community activities lies at the heart of the work of the Friends of St Giles' Church, Cambridge. We do so by preserving and enhancing the beautiful church and grounds of St Giles' Church, just opposite Magdalene College in Cambridge.We don't want it to be just a monument, but a place filled with life and activity - which is why we love to throw a party there!In 2025 St Giles' will be 150 years old and the Friends, who are a secular organisation, legally seperate from the congregations who worship there, intend to be at the forefront of preserving it for the future.

We have closed online bookings, but there will still be tickets available on the door.
Join us for an evening of merriment as St Giles Church hosts Paul and The Magogs band. Sit and relax as the band play folk songs from across the UK, or join in the dancing as the caller guides you through the steps of tradional country dances, all in the beautiful and atmospheric St Giles building and grounds. We welcome people of all ages and abilities, including children if they are accompanied by a responsible adult.
Food and drink:
We warmly invite you to bring your own picnic and drinks (alcohol is permitted) if you would like to eat at the Ceilidh. St Giles is also located a short distance from the Castle and Architect pubs on Castle street, which serve a variety of excellent food and drink, and we are also a five minute walk from the retaurants on Bridge Street.
Parking:
Parking at St Giles is very limited. If you wish to drive our nearest car park is Park St, which is 10 minutes walk from the venue. There is also some on-street parking on Chesterton Road, less than 5 minutes walk away. On street parking is free after 6pm.
