🌿 The Pause That Changes Everything™

A one-day retreat for women who’ve spent a long time putting everyone else first and are ready to pause.

🕘 9:30am – 3:30pm
👥 8 spaces
💙 Free for NHS staff
This retreat is soley for NHS staff.

💬 You've been the fixer. The reliable one. The yes-person.

You notice everyone else’s mood and that shapes how you feel.
You apologise for things that aren’t your fault.
You say “yes” when you mean “no” - and then feel frustrated and resentful afterwards.

You tell yourself it’s easier not to make a fuss.
To just get on with it.
Even when you know a part of you slowly disappears.

And underneath all of it, there’s a question you keep pushing down:

What about me?

This retreat gives you space to answer it, without that sense you need to earn it this time.
A day to step out of autopilot and reconnect with yourself and your voice.

“I realised I can make a difference to how I feel just by changing a few things.”
“My needs are usually paused for others. This day helped me reconnect with them.”

Many women last time talked about feeling clearer, braver, and calmer by the end of the day.

🪷 What women said last time - when 8 women working in NHS came together for the day:

💙 “Bravery is the key.”
💙 “This time and space enabled the way forward for me.”
💙 “I will take action to start - for me.”
💙 “I came along feeling rather lost and now I have a plan.”
💙 “We all have the tools within us, we just need help finding and engaging them.”
💙 “I was surprised that I cried - totally unexpected, but must have felt I could in the space.”
💙 “It gave me the confidence to say no - and believe I can.”
💙 “I will direct my energies into myself and assume accountability for my life.”
💙 “Just f'ing do it!!”

✨ What the day includes

We'll move through a series of pauses - each one designed to help you notice, reclaim, and choose differently:

🌸 Pause to arrive

Land. Breathe. Let the world drop away. Ground yourself in this space that's actually yours.

🌸 Pause to notice

Where are you actually right now? Not where you think you should be, just where you are. What's draining you? What's working? What's been ignored?

We'll use the Wheel of Life and values work to see what matters most to you (not what you inherited or think you should want).

🌸 Pause to understand people-pleasing

Why your nervous system thinks saying no is basically death. The sneaky ways people-pleasing shows up. Why you check everyone else's mood before your own. How the drama triangle keeps you stuck (Rescuer? Victim? Persecutor? Probably all three in the same day).

🌸 Pause to reclaim space

From there, we’ll look at boundaries, what they actually look like for you in real life.

You’ll practice saying the words out loud (yes, really). You’ll learn simple nervous system regulation tools that help your body feel safe enough to set more boundariesy. From there, a new beliefs gets to grow - I can do this!

🌸 Pause to integrate

Where do you want to be 6 months from now? What's the first tiny step that starts it all?

Clarity. Language. Next steps you can actually take.

There'll be reflection time, guided questions, practical tools, and real conversations in a small, safe group.

No icebreakers. No pressure to share. Just honesty, space, and support.

💭 You'll leave with:

✨ A clearer sense of what you actually need
✨ Language for boundaries and decisions
✨ Practical tools for your nervous system (so saying no doesn't feel like death)
✨ Permission to prioritise yourself
✨ One or two small actions to begin
✨ The company of women who get it - because you sure as hell are not alone in this

You do not need to be confident, ready, or sorted.

You just need to want things to feel different.

This retreat is for you if:

  • You're tired of saying yes to everyone else
  • You can't remember the last time you prioritised yourself without guilt
  • You want to stop people-pleasing but don't know how
  • You're ready to pause (finally) and figure out what you actually want
  • You're done with surface-level solutions

“Attend if you can - you might need it more than you realise.”

🌿 About Claire Godwin

I'm Claire - a coach, facilitator, and speaker with over twenty years in leadership and personal development, across the NHS and 15+ years freelance work.

I'm accredited at advanced level in both 1:1 and group coaching. I've supported hundreds of women through real change - the kind that actually sticks.

I’m grounded, evidence-based, occasionally sweary, and very good at creating spaces where women can relax into themselves and notice what’s really going on.

This retreat brings together the tools I’ve found most useful in my work with women, pulled into one day.

⚡ Why now?

Because you're smart enough to know that waiting until you have a breakdown isn't actually a strategy.

Because there's a difference between being busy and being purposeful.

Because that little voice asking "what about me?" deserves listening to and answering.

Because saying yes to everyone else while saying no to yourself is costing you more than you realise.

And because somewhere along the way, you forgot: your needs matter too.

💙 A final note

I don't anticipate running this retreat 100% free again.
