Overview

A practical, interactive course paired with one-to-one feedback tailored especially for you to help you to redraft your play.

Back by popular demand - and NEW and IMPROVED! If you want to redraft your play with practical masterclasses, tailored feedback, and dramaturgical support, read on!

Led by experienced dramaturg and scriptwriter, Kimberley Andrews, this course will give you the tools to unlock the full potential of your play through masterclasses, one-to-one feedback, mentoring and a personalised plan of action for editing your play.

Packed full of practical tips, exercises and individual support from Kimberley, this course promises to leave you perfectly equipped to take your play to the next level.

Your play will be read before the start of the course meaning sessions will be tailored to the group.

How it works:

The course is made up of:

  • 3 x 90 minutes redrafting masterclasses
  • A troubleshooting and Q&A session
  • A 1 hour one-to-one feedback and planning session with Kimberley Andrews


Once you’ve booked your place on the course, you’ll need to send your first draft over to us so that Kimberley can read it prior to the first workshop, please send this no later than one week before the start of the first session.

Redrafting Masterclasses

You’ll attend 3 Zoom group Redrafting Masterclass where you will explore different approaches to redrafting, learn about practical methods to edit your work and gain the tools you need to start re-writing your play.

Troubleshooting Masterclass

In this session, you’ll be given the chance to share the challenges you are facing with the group and explore how to overcome common hurdles within the redrafting process, as well considering how to polish your work.

Individual Tutorials

You’ll be offered a 1 hour tutorial with Kimberley Andrews, who will give you feedback on your script and discuss which areas need the most work. The tutorial can take place at a time of your choice, depending on your redrafting needs.

Course Dates:

Masterclass 1: Tue 2nd June: 10.30am - 12pm

Masterclass 2: Tue 9rd June: 10.30am - 12pm

Masterclass 3: Tue 16th June 10.30am - 12pm

Trouble-shooting & Q&A: Tue 30th June: 10.30am - 12pm

Individual Tutorials: To be arranged with participants individually.


Location: online via Zoom (if you are unable to make all of the sessions, please contact Kimberley at londonplaywrights@gmail.com; we can accomodate this by providing a recording of any missed sessions).
