Get ready to level up your leadership skills at The Business Leader Dojo - Reflect and reset your approach to planning.

Step off the hamster wheel of daily business—and into the dojo.

The Leadership Dojo is not another seminar or management workshop.

In the spirit of the traditional Japanese training hall, it is a practice ground—a space for anyone who is managing or leading to sharpen their self-awareness, focus their minds and explore the art of leading people so they have

· More genuine confidence and resilience

· Clarity of direction, action and who you are at your best

· Commitment to taking action on themselves and their business outcomes

For half a day, you will train as a leader trains: through reflection, insightful discussion and genuine connection.

All profits from the event will be distributed to local charities (attendees will choose which ones)

The subject

Thought of the Dave

""The path of least resistance (between where you are and where you want to be) is generally not the easiest or the most comfortable.

It is the most direct route. It may involve challenges and discomfort but rewards you with results and personal growth."

In this session, we are going to explore the less considered aspects of business planning

You see everyone can come up with laudable goals and layout the actions that might have a vague chance of achieving them.

That ain't the difficult bit!!!!

Its my assertion that the reasons planning feels difficult (and often gets avoided) are

  • Confronting the brutal reality of the current situation which is crtical if you are going to do it properly
  • Committing to a path in the face of uncertainty and volatility ("whats even the point in this environment?")
  • FInding the motivation to execute the plan when you don't know if it will work and with the pull of the familiar overpowering you

These are the real obstacles to creating a meaningful plan for your company, function or change project that is executable and gives you the best shot at achieving the outcome(s) you want.

What Awaits You in the Dojo

1. The Demonstration — Learning from a Master in Motion

After breakfast, the session will be opened by a local business owner who will speak with honesty about the realities of being a business owner, the highs, the lows and the leadership moments that really mattered in thier journey.

2. The Coaching Kata — Your Guided Practice Session

Next, you’ll take part in a short, high-impact coaching session—your “kata.” In this session, we will be exploring how to plan in uncertainty using five simple thought models.

3. The Circle — Dialogue

We’ll close with a round-table discussion in the spirit of kaizen—continuous improvement.

You'll talk with your fellow attendees, sharing experiences and insights as you coach each other. This will contribute to a collective refinement of planning practice.

This is where the wisdom of peers becomes the fuel for personal mastery.
