Join us for our new monthly volunteer session in Whitley. We will be doing some practical management to improve the habitat in and around the river. Please note April's session will be held on Wednesday, instead of the usual Thursday.
We will be meeting on Whitley Abbey Bridge 10am, on-street parking is available nearby.
Please do check the weather forecast beforehand and dress appropriately for the conditions. Bring wellies with you if you can in case of rain or work in the river, if you're comfortable with this. Get in touch if you need us to provide a pair for you. Feel free to bring your own work gloves or we can provide these for you also. Please also bring water and a snack with you.
No experience is needed, we will show you what to do. If we need to make any adjustments so that you can attend we can and if you need more details or are having trouble booking please email sherbourne@wkwt.org.uk.
In case of event cancellation or extreme weather, we will email you. Please leave a contact phone number, too, so that we can contact you on the day, in the unlikely event of any last minute changes.
This event is being run by Joe Atkinson, River Restoration Officer.
