Description

Join us in what promises to be an insightful discussion on the role of the SDGS in supporting and promoting a more sustainable world. In 2015, 193 member states of the UN signed up to the 17 SDGS. They are ambitious in scope and taken together, they represent a real opportunity to develop a global strategy for localities to fight poverty and global inequality, and to tackle climate change and protect the environment.

Our Speakers:

Hilary Macleod is an environmental educator and consultant from Queensland Australia. She has worked with a number of key global agencies including UNESCO.

Katherine Eames is a senior sustainability project officer at the Greater London Authority and the co-ordinator of the Mayor’s low carbon entrepreneurship competition for schools

Dr Paul Vare is a senior academic at the University of Gloucester. He has extensive international experience in the field of sustainability working for Planet Earth and his research and teaching specialism is the area of education and sustainable development.

Do come along and hear our distinguished panel give their insights on how the SDGS represent the best hope for planet and people. Join the debate now.
