The Sweeney Todd Tour

Temple StationLondon, England
Friday, May 8 from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm
Overview

He offered the closest shave in town! Take a walk with us around the narrow alleys of Fleet Street where the demon Barber plied his trade.

Starts: From outside Temple tube station. Tour duration: 2 hours.

Finishes: Near Blackfriars and St. Paul's stations.

Minimum age of attendees: 13 (under 16s need to be accompanied by a responsible parent or guardian).

"Easy shaving for a penny", said the sign outside Sweeney Todd's Barber Shop. Was he merely a myth, or based on a real person in history?

Let's wander through an area steeped in horrifying history, a hidden, gas-lit part of London, hearing haunting tales and so much more! You’ll visit the site of the notorious Barber shop where Todd was alleged to have worked and Mrs. Lovett’s pie shop close by. You’ll also learn of other grisly happenings in the surrounding area too!

Guided by Jenny Philips; expert London Tour Guide & Historian (having featured on TV Documentaries); you'll see the locations and learn the story of how Sweeney chose his victims very carefully, robbed them, murdered them and disposed of their bodies, all with Mrs Lovett's help!

Whether you’re looking for an alternative sightseeing tour of London or you’re looking to spoil your favourite Sweeney Todd fan to a day out in the Capital, then this experience is just for you!

This tour is unfortunately not wheelchair accessible or suitable for anyone with walking difficulties as it includes walking up some steps. Tour length is approx. 1 mile of walking in total with the rest of the tour mainly standing.
