The Tapestry Project

Bridgepoint Rye is an old warehouse on the riverside offering a potential new venue in Rye opening in May 2019 to provide pop-up music, art, dance and theatre events whilst the owners wait for planning permission to be granted for the site at Rock Channel, Rye.

Bridgepoint Rye

A unique, immersive, multi-arts exhibition. 27 embroidered panels made in 1966,  last seen 20 years ago, now set to new music and film.

<p>The Tapestry Project brings together a number of strands of craft, music, film and theatre into one immersive exhibition experience. See what historical perspectives were selected in 1966 and how they were presented to commemorate the 900th anniversary of the Battle of Hastings. Set designed by theatre-maker Tim Hopkins and new music by composer and sound artist Robert Thomas. With sound engineer Nic Holdbridge and lighting designer Danny Bright.</p>
