The Terror Trail

Buckinghamshire Country Parksare managed by the Country Parks Team on behalf of Buckinghamshire Council.  The Team are based at the Countryside Centre in Black Park Country Park, accessible via the Visitor Centre. They are responsible for the day to day running, maintenance and management of the Country Parks, together with conservation work and events.

Join us for a spooktacular Halloween trail within Black Park. Why not come dressed up and see if you can find all the hidden characters in the woods! There will be lots to see, from Frankenstein&#x27;s Monster to a colony of giant bats! Are you brave enough to take on The Terror Trail? Arm yourself with our trusty map and you will safely make it through the haunted woods!Running Monday 23rd - Friday 27th October 2023. Collect your map and quiz sheet from outside the visitor centre. We have a quiet SEND session with reduced numbers available at 10:30am on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Adults and young babies in prams go free. You are advised to book online.  As long as your chosen timeslot hasn&#x27;t sold out, a limited number of tickets will be available to purchase on the day, however &#x27;On The Day Tickets&#x27; will be sold at £3 per child. Card payments only.Please note we will not be providing prizes. The price compared to previous years has been reduced to reflect this. Last entry 2pm - The trail is packed down daily at 2:30pm so you must complete the trail by this time. You can arrive at any point during your half an hour window to start the trail. Meeting Point: Black Park Visitor Centre (located next to the main café). Just follow the signs anti-clockwise around the lake from the car park to the visitor centre - it is about a 10 minute walk. Buggies are welcome! A map marking the route to the start point is shown below (follow the yellow routes, to the red arrow).FAQsWhat time should I arrive to do the trail?On booking, you will choose a time slot for your chosen day. You can arrive at any point during your half an hour window. Please ensure you arrive within your allotted time slot to take part in the trail. Meeting point is at Black Park Visitor Centre. The trail is self-led using a map and trail guide.Why do I need to pre-book for this trail?You are advised to book online to guarantee your place.  As long as your chosen timeslot hasn&#x27;t sold out, a limited number of tickets will be available to purchase on the day, however tickets on site will be sold at £3 per child. Card payments only.Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?All ages welcome.  All attending children must be accompanied by a responsible adult. This is a family friendly event. Scenes have been designed with children in mind however, some scenes may not be suitable for very young children.What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?Black Park Country Park has a Pay and Display Public Car Park. Car parking charges will always apply unless specifically stated, you can check charges on our website.What can I bring into the event?Please bring any drinks and snacks required for the duration of the trail.  Please wear suitable clothing and sturdy footwear - the pathways can be muddy and uneven.How long does the trail take?The trail should take families roughly one hour to complete.How can I contact the organiser with any questions?Buckinghamshire Country Parks Team <a href="mailto:countryparks@buckscc.gov.uk" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer"></a>countryparks@buckinghamshire.gov.uk / 01753 511060What&#x27;s the refund policy?Cancellation with the expectation of a refund or ticket transfer for a session must be made at least 7 days before the start of the booked-for session. Unfortunately, refunds are not applicable for no shows, illness or not being able to attend. Refunds will be provided should the event have to be cancelled by us; for example due to weather conditions, staff sickness or government restrictions. Eventbrite&#x27;s fees are non-refundable.Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?You can either bring your printed ticket or show your eticket on your mobile phone on arrival. Save paper and bring this electronically if you can!
