Workshop 1: The Upgrade for practice-research PhD students
What role has practice played in your research so far? What sort of timelines are you working to? Is there something specific about the order of research for practice-researchers? What is expected of you at upgrade?
This workshop is open to all practice-based/led students, supervisors and panelists across Birkbeck. This will be a chance to find out more about the expectations and experiences of upgrading to PhD as a practice-based/led student at Birkbeck.
<H3 CLASS="MsoNormal">We will be joined by filmmaker and lecturer Nariman Massoumi from Bristol University and PhD candidate Gerrie van Noord from Birkbeck to talk about their experiences of the upgrade process</H3>
 
This session is recommended for pre-upgrade research students.
