Program Title: It Takes a Village / The Village

1. Beneficiaries:

• Parents, carers and Guardians with pre-school children. The primary focus is on providing a safe and engaging space for carers and their children.

• Local Residents: Open to all community members of Erdington.

2. Engagement Frequency:

• Once a Week: x2 times per week / term time.

• Duration: 2 Hours per Session

3. Location:

• Venue: Chris Bryant Centre, YMCA Heart of England Birmingham 300 Reservoir Rd, Erdington, Birmingham B23 6DF.

• There is limited onsite carparking at our cafe Eden, please do complete the car registration form at reception.

4. Activities:

• The Village Stay and Play: Stay and play sessions for young parents and their children to explore play, social networking and support, includingtea/coffee and juice and free hot meal afterwards in our Cafe Eden for attendants.

- Engaging Play Zones: Specially designed play areas for babies and toddlers, filled with soft toys, sensory activities, and interactive games to stimulate their growing minds.

- Parent-Toddler Bonding Activities: Fun and creative activities that encourage interaction between parents and toddlers, fostering strong emotional connections.

- Expert-Led Parenting Tips: Knowledgeable childcare experts will be on hand to share valuable parenting tips, answer questions, and provide support.

- Story Time and Sing-Alongs: Enjoy delightful story sessions and sing-alongs to enhance language development and musical appreciation in your little ones.

- Refreshments and Social Time: Connect with other parents over complimentary tea, coffee while your little ones make new friends.

Can my older child attend?

Our sessions are primarily targeted to children aged 0-3years, but we know, sometimes plans change, we welcome siblings under supervision of carers.

Can I attend both sessions per week?

Of course!

Can I bring my own food/snacks?

Yes, we do ask that food and drinks are consumed on the table and chairs provided within the space. There will be free tea/coffee/juice available through the session and also opportunity for a free hot meal within our cafe Eden - where you are welcome to buy alternative refreshments.
