<H3><SPAN><SPAN>Designing secure electronic voting systems is particularly challenging because of the need to demonstrate the integrity of the election while ensuring ballot secrecy for voters. End-to-end verifiability provides an approach to resolving these challenges.</SPAN></SPAN></H3>
<H3><SPAN><SPAN>In this talk </SPAN><A HREF="https://www.surrey.ac.uk/people/steve-schneider" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Steve Schneider</A>, Professor in Secure Systems at the University of Surrey, describes these issues, and will introduce the VOLT project, which is investigating the role that Distributed Ledger Technologies can play in supporting end-to-end verifiable voting systems, and thereby underpin their trustworthiness.</SPAN></H3>
