The Whileaways

Critics have counted Noriana Kennedy, Nicola Joyce and Noelie McDonnell “among the finest singers in the country” and their music “deceptively simple and deeply affecting with stunning melodies and harmonies” (Hot Press Magazine)

Their beautifully crafted original songs and tightly woven harmonies have garnered high praise from the music press both at home and abroad.

This accomplished trio of songwriters came together in 2012 , having each recorded and toured extensively before joining forces as The Whileaways.

They have released four critically acclaimed, award-winning albums since then, touring prestigious festivals and venues worldwide over the past decade.

Irish and UK audiences will also know The Whileaways from their sell-out Bird on the Wire tours, a collaboration with singer Pauline Scanlon celebrating the music of Leonard Cohen.

The Whileaways eagerly anticipated fifth album will be released in September 2026.

Seán Feeny is a singer-songwriter from Donegal whose music blends Irish folk traditions with contemporary songwriting. Raised in a musical household steeped in traditional Irish music, folk, and classic pop influences, Seán draws inspiration from storytelling, family history, and the landscapes and experiences that shape Irish life.

After a career in journalism and arts marketing, he returned to his lifelong passion for music, creating songs that bring traditional themes into a modern setting. Working alongside producer Orri McBrearty, Seán has developed a distinctive sound that he describes as Irish folk stories wrapped in contemporary arrangements. His debut single, 1969, reflects his love of storytelling, heritage, and the enduring spirit of the people and places that inspire his work.
