Theatre Workshops

Theatre Workshops

Overview

Drop in theatre workshops using script as a springboard for playful, games-based sessions exploring ideas through extracts and improv.

Next term Theatre Workshops will use Tom Stoppard's Arcadia as a playful jumping-off point for exploration and discovery.
In these welcoming, games-based drop-in sessions, short extracts from the script will act as a springboard for theatre games, practical exercises and improvisation rather than as something to rehearse or “get right”. Drawing on Arcadia’s rich mix of curiosity, chaos, love, logic and time, participants will explore universal themes through small-group and pair work, making personal and imaginative connections along the way.

Sessions are suitable for anyone who would like to play, grow in confidence, improve creative skills and more general skills like public speaking and, above all, have a lot of fun—no prior knowledge of the play or theatre experience required. Come for the whole term or drop in when you're available.
