  • Thermogravimetric Analysis (TGA)
  • Simultaneous Thermal Analysis (STA)

For each technique, the course will cover:

  • Fundamental principles
  • Measurement basics
  • Data interpretation
  • Application examples
  • Best practice advice on sample preparation, method setup, running samples, and data analysis

Hands-on laboratory session

All attendees will have the opportunity to:

  • Work directly with DSC and TGA or STA instruments
  • Observe live measurements and workflows
  • Discuss results and interpretation with experts

Sandra Segondy

Scientific Application Support Engineer, Setaram . KEP Technologies

Sandra is a specialist in thermal analysis and calorimetry, working at Setaram within KEP Technologies. She supports customers across a wide range of applications including metals, ceramics, composites, polymers, and biological materials using techniques such as TGA, DSC, EGA, TMA, and calorimetry.

She holds a PhD in chemical engineering and materials science and has previously worked on adsorption calorimetry applied to catalysis as part of an industry-led European research project.

David Dale

Product Manager, SciMed Ltd

David has over 35 years of experience working with thermal analysis and process safety equipment, much of it within the pharmaceutical industry where he served as a global process safety lead.

He joined SciMed in 2011 and supports thermal analysis and process safety product ranges including Setaram, Fauske and Associates, and Navas.
