<H2>What’s it all about? </H2>
<P>HLC are working closely with the Big Lottery Fund to develop a potential new project focused on young people aged 18 – 29 with a disability/learning disability or difficulty and/or a long term health condition, who require support in accessing and gaining employment and may need support within the workplace to ensure sustainability.</P>
<P>The aim of the project will be to give young people the opportunities to achieve an Employability Passport whilst exploring and experiencing specific occupational sectors that have job opportunities within the Hull and East Riding area.</P>
<H2>What are we looking for?</H2>
<P>We are looking to attract organisations that can create programmes of learning and development within Hull and the East Riding that will enable the participant to fully achieve an Employability Passport, which will help prepare them for the world of work. We expect all providers to explore sector specific activities relate directly to particular needs of an occupational sector or sectors. Organisations must have links, or are able to develop links quickly, in the sectors they are looking to tailor their programmes around.</P>
<P>Organisations should have a clear understanding of the needs of the 18-29 year olds with a disability / learning disability or difficulty and/or a long term health conditions.</P>
<P>Activities included within the programme need to be able to meet the criteria within the 7 Employability Skills which are:</P>
<P>Self-Management<BR>Teamwork<BR>Business and Customer Awareness<BR>Problem Solving<BR>Communication and Literacy<BR>Application of Numeracy<BR>Application of Digital Technologies<BR></P>
<H2>Who can attend the workshops?</H2>
<P>No restrictions on organisation type or turnover.</P>
<H2>The aim of the workshop</H2>
<P>The aim of the event is to gather information that may potentially influence and shape the programme. Once we have developed the project specification from your feedback, this will be formally tendered at a later stage.</P>
<P>The session will consist of a half hour information session, from 9:30. After there this there will be an opportunity for 1-2-1 discussions of 15 mins which will be booked on the day.<BR></P>
