Description

‘This Flag is a Hull (Two)' is a programme of poetry and spoken word performance. Blending poetry, visual art, theatre and performance, it explores contemporary poetry and the margins of poetic activity across Glasgow.

2nd May // SPAM

7 - 10pm

FREE Event

SPAM zine is a triannual publication of post-internet poetry based in Glasgow. Acknowledging that our online and IRL everyday floats on an infinite stream of textual detritus, SPAM wishes to bridge the gap between the internet divine and the pathetic IRL; to make poetry meme, and meme poetry; to watch highbrow theory and pop culture have animalistic sex live on Facebook; to Make Poetry Cool Again with both self-devouring irony and constructive sincerity.

4th May // Only Skin: DRAFT

7-10pm

£5

Following two years of scratch events, offering theatremakers and performers in Glasgow a platform to test new and challenging ideas, Only Skin's pilot scheme DRAFT has supported three artists to further develop three exciting new pieces of work. This event marks the cumlination of the DRAFT project, with each artist - Annie Lowry Thomas, Jamie Bolland & Ross Wylie - showcasing their work, developed with Only Skin over the last 4 months.

DRAFT is an investigation in supporting solo performance practice, making the development process of three chosen pieces of theatre as transparent and accessible as possible - through documentation, and opportunities to engage with the work throughout it's creative process.
