Overview

When a working class community tells it's own story.

Join us for this special performance touring the north this summer at our pop up space above 3B systems at the junction of Carr Road and Every Street.

This is what happens when a working-class community tells its own story. A bus ride. A bingo card. A memory you didn’t know you shared.

This is our neighbourhood, not the one in the media, but the one shaped by our stories, our laughter and our silence.

Award-winning duo Malandra Jacks invite you into a world of spellbinding projection, real voices and unapologetic heart. Census is part theatre, part time capsule: a celebration of communities rarely seen on stage.

Funny, intimate and defiant, Census is a love letter to working-class communities, a call to remember who we are and what we carry with us.

Workshop: Theres is also an option to join an evening workshop to contribute to making local content from your thoughts on the themes of the play. This will be held at 3B Systems Wednesday 15th April 1 - 3 PM. click here to book a place.

Refreshements will be provided for a donation.

The space at 3B is not currently accessible for wheel chairs (funding has been secured to do this in 2026). Access is stepped at the entrance and 2 flights of stairs to the 1st Floor. There are 2 toilets.
