This Stage Is Ours
Overview

Got something you care about? Turn it into something that makes people stop and listen using drama, storytelling and making.

This Stage Is Ours is a week long project with Chol Theatre for young people aged 14+ in Huddersfield who have something to say about the world around them.

Across the week we’ll explore the issues that matter to you, use drama and storytelling to unpack real experiences, and experiment with different ways of expressing ideas and imagining change.

From spoken word and street theatre to digital media and public sharing, together we will build work that reflects your perspectives and share it at a youth event on the Saturday.

No experience in drama or performing is required, just an interest in the world and a willingness to explore your ideas with others!

Workshop Sessions:
Monday 16 – Friday 20 February, 1pm–4pm each day

Youth Sharing Event:
Saturday 21 February, 5pm–7pm

We’d love you to join for the whole week, but don’t let it put you off if you can’t. It’s about having a voice and getting involved.
