Enthusiastic amateur,  loves trying to make things with Raspberry Pis and Microbits, occasionally succeeds.I am organising this Raspberry Jam with invaluable support from Thorpe St Andrew High School.

WELCOME TO THE FIRST THORPE RASPBERRY JAM!!!
SOUNDS TASTY! WHAT IS A RASPBERRY JAM?
Raspberry Jams are community meetups for people to come together to learn about digital making with Raspberry Pis and other similar tech such as Microbits, Arduinos and many more. If you are curious and want to know more, or have a project you would like to bring along and show off, then you are going to love a Jam. And it is free!!!
 
WHAT CAN I DO THERE?
Raspberry Jams all over the UK come in all shapes and sizes. At Thorpe Raspberry Jam some of the activities we are offering include:
WORKSHOPS- Try one and learn something new.
SHOW &amp; TELL - See what other people are working on and find some new ideas and inspirations.
DROP-IN SESSIONS - We will have some Raspberry Pis set up so you can come and work on your own projects or try a Pi for the first time. We have some activities you can try including hacking Minecraft and controlling some simple electronics with a Pi. 
The event is free and open to all ages and abilities.
Please note: Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
 
RASPBERRY JAM MAKERS
A Raspberry Jam cannot happen without Makers. The more Makers we have the more activities we can offer. You don't need to have lots of tech knowledge, just be keen to help out between 10am and 1pm on the day! SHOW &amp; TELL
If you have a project you would like to share with us we would love to see it. Please register for one of the Show &amp; Tell tickets and I will be in touch to make sure we can accommodate you.

Are there any minimum age requirements for attending the JAM?
There are no minimum age requirements as such but all children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
 
How do I get there and where do I park?

Please note that the Laundry Lane entrances to the school will be closed, the only entrance on foot and by car are on Pound Lane next to the artificial football pitches.
CAR
Parking for general admission ticket holders is available in the car park next to the artificial football pitches or across the road at Fitzmaurice Park. These are marked yellow on the google map.
When you have parked please walk around to Room 1 to sign in.
Exhibitors bringing projects and volunteers can park in the green car park on the map.
BUS

What's the refund policy?
Admission is free so we don't need one! If you order a ticket and find you cannot attend please cancel your ticket so someone else can have it.
 
Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
You don't have to bring a printed ticket. You can use the Eventbrite app on your phone to show us the ticket or sign in on the door as we will have a list of evenyone registered.
 
Do I need to order a ticket to attend?
Yes. Please register for a ticket to guarantee admission.
 
Photographs and videos
Photographs and videos may be taken at the event. Please note that by purchasing tickets you are giving permission for us to take pictures or videos and use them on our website. If you do not wish to give consent or have any questions please contact the organiser.
