Threaded Together: A Weaving &amp; Loom-Making Workshop with Nihal J. Singh &amp; Lucinda PurkisJoin Waltham Forest makers and artists Nihal J. Singh and Lucinda Purkis for Threaded Together — a hands-on workshop celebrating craft, sustainability, and community connection through DIY loom-making and weaving.In this interactive session, you’ll engage in two creative activities:<ul><li>Build a Large Communal Loom: Collaborate with others to weave a shared tapestry using recycled and foraged materials.</li><li>Personal Loom Crafting: Assemble your own small loom (or use a pre-made one) and explore individual weaving techniques.</li></ul>A rich selection of recycled and donated materials—including twine, shredded fabric, and foraged plant matter—will be available to inspire your weaving creations.This workshop encourages a calming, meditative experience, where the repetitive rhythm of weaving fosters focus, mindfulness, and a sense of accomplishment. It’s designed to nurture creativity, confidence, and wellbeing, while promoting sustainability and the joy of making without the pressure of perfection.Whether you’re a seasoned maker or a curious beginner, Threaded Together offers a welcoming space to learn practical craft skills, connect with others, and explore how crafting can be a powerful tool for upcycling and mindful creativity.All children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by a parent or appropriate adults
