9 out of 10 mothers experience problems returning to work after maternity leave and a prolonged absence from work can reduce engagement, motivation and workplace wellbeing by as much as 20% when people return.

Maternity coaching helps both individuals and organisations manage the transition smoothly. Maternity coaching, and help with planning, ensures you make the right return to work plans and decisions to suit your individual circumstances.

'Thrive after maternity leave - plan a confident return to work for GPs' is a group coaching course where you can be supported by a highly experienced Coach and a small group of your peers to plan the return to work that is right for you.

This four-week course for qualified GPs from London ICSs and GP trainees from both London and KSS (Kent, Surrey and Sussex) consists of a unique online course that runs alongside five 1-hour virtual group coaching sessions.

As the course is for mums on maternity leave, if you don't have any childcare available you are welcome to have your baby with you when you join the weekly calls.

To help you select the right course for you, you will probably benefit most from the programme about 4 months before you return to work, but you are welcome to join at any point during your maternity leave.

The course has multiple start dates, then each course runs for four-weeks with sessions on the following dates:

Please sign up using an email address you check regularly, and check all the dates for the course to ensure that you can attend all sessions.

Please only sign up to one course. There are a limited number of spaces on each course, by booking more than one place you are preventing others from accessing the course.

By signing up to one of these courses, you are signing up to attend all the group coaching sessions for that course. You will be automatically enrolled in our Thinkific course and will receive course admin emails from Thinkific.

NB: Unfortunately, some of your colleagues have previously booked places on these courses and not attended or pulled out at the last minute, or signed up for multiple courses, preventing others from being able to access the course. It must be stressed that the above options are not ‘FREE’ they are funded from NHS monies, all of which must be accounted for. Please do not sign up unless you can commit to attending the course!
