A deep-dive into common issues that arise for counsellors in private practice, and how to really win at being a self-employed therapist.
Speaker: Jeanine Conner
Venue: ONLINE via Zoom and CATCH-UP for 28 days.
Event Description:
In this one-day workshop we will address some of the burning questions that arise for counsellors and psychotherapists in private practice. While you might be surviving in private practice, could you be thriving?
* Perhaps you’d like to attract more clients or a different kind of clientele. Maybe you want to hone your specialism or diversify into something new.
* Do you dream of working less or smarter? Maybe you need to increase your fee or have more robust policies for cancellations, no shows and late payments.
* What about the ways you market your business? Is it time to re-brand – or perhaps even consider branding for the first time?
As counsellors and psychotherapists, our priority is providing excellent care to our clients, and as business owners, we need to generate a reliable, steady income. Finding a balance between the two can be tricky, and when we get it right, we can excel as practitioners and prosper in private practice.
In this one-day workshop, our trainer Jeanine Connor will draw on their own successes and struggles in private practice, as well as the common presenting issues that show up in sessions with supervisees in private practice. You will be encouraged to reflect and learn about the following to help you thrive in private practice:
* Your dual identities as therapist and business owner.
* Consider your offer and what it’s worth,
* Think about your marketing strategy in terms of branding and USP; and
* Reframe your financial and contractual obligations and choices as investments.
This workshop is most suitable for therapists who are already in private practice, or about to start that journey.
