On the 8 October we talk to the wonderful Dr. Karen Jones, Director Europe Marketing Immunodiagnosticsat at Thermo Fisher Scientific. Thermo Fisher is a global giant in the Life Sciences sector delivering analytical instruments, life sciences solutions, specialty diagnostics, and laboratory services. Their mission is to enable customers to make the world healthier, cleaner, and safer.

This chat will discuss advancement in medicine and the role inclusion plays in this endeavour.


More about our speaker

Karen is a PhD scientist (molecular genetics of breast cancer) with a post-doctorate from Harvard Medical School (mouse models of familial cardiomyopathy), and 25+ years in STEM organisations in various commercial roles. She currently leads the European marketing team for Allergy and Autoimmunity Diagnostics at Thermo Fisher Scientific, where she has transformed the team for greater scale and impact with the aim of reaching over 200 million people who suffer clinical symptoms without proper diagnosis and effective management. Recently she has become a certified coach and trainer for women with the aim of improving the gender balance at leadership levels in large organisations.

Karen is a great believer in the power of Diversity and is committed to improving workplace culture and performance through diverse teams.
