TIDE is pleased to invite you to its first seminar of 2019 at the University of Liverpool's campus in London on the theme of ‘Migrants and Pirates'. Join us to hear William O’Reilly (University of Cambridge) speak on ‘soul-selling’ traffickers who recruited and escorted migrants, and Oliver Finnegan (Prize Papers Project, Carl von Ossietzky University) on the many different understandings of piracy that existed in England across the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries.
