From Shirley Bassey to Chappell Roan, Songbirds Choir presents a concert featuring (bi)conic songs from across the decades.

We will be performing in The Seligman Theatre, at Chapter Arts Centre.

Songbirds is a community choir based in Cardiff, for LGBTQIA+ women, trans and nonbinary people.

The concert will also feature the Cardiff Trans Singers.

We will also be raising money for Trans Aid Cymru, a mutual aid group that supports trans and non-binary throughout Wales. A third of our tickets will include a £2 donation to Trans Aid Cymru, but you can also choose to make a donation of any amount when purchasing your ticket at any price.

Is the venue Disabled Accessible?

The event is in a first floor venue. Lifts are available, however if you require step-free access in the event of an emergency evacuation, please contact us so that we can insure we have enough trained people on hand to assist with evacuation. There are two wheelchair spaces provided.

What is the run time?

We are hoping to keep the run time, between 2 and 2.5 hours.

Will there be an intermission

There will be a 15 minute intermission

Is there free parking?

There is limited free parking available at Chapter Arts Centre, including 10 disabled spaces. There is also metered on street parking in the surrounding area.

Is there cycle parking?

There is a good capacity of cycle parking available at the front of the building.

What are the closest transportation links?

Chapter Arts Centre is a 12min walk from Ninian Park Train Station. There is also a bus stop a 1min walk away on E Cowbridge Road serviced by the 17, 18 and 13 bus services.

Are Gender Neutral Toilets Available?

There are Gender Neutral toilets available at Chapter Arts Centre.

If I am a wheelchair user can I bring a carer?

Yes. A wheel chair ticket includes one free seat for a carer adjacent to the wheel chair space provided within the audience.

We are Songbirds, a community choir for LGBTQIA+ people based in Cardiff. We were set up in 2012 and currently have around 35 members, but we always welcome new members!

We rehearse every Monday from 7:30pm at City United Reformed Church

We pride ourselves on our inclusivity and we aim to be a supportive and friendly group where members can have fun and make a beautiful sound.
