Be. The Centre for Wellbeing are supporting Time to Talk Day by Time to Change. Too many people with mental health problems are made to feel isolated, worthless and ashamed. Time to Talk Day is a chance for all of us to be more open about mental health – to talk, to listen, to change lives.
Be. The Centre for Wellbeing is hosting a programme of events on Time to Talk Day 1st February in our office base in MEA House Newcastle to encourage open discussion around mental health in the workplace.
9.30-10.30 Sally Allan Fund Mental Health Awareness Presentation
11.00-12.00 Mental Toughness and Workplace Implications Join the team at Be. The Centre for Wellbeing and Dr Helen St Clair-Thomas Senior Lecturer in School of Psychology at Newcastle University for a presentation and discussion on mental toughness - how an individual responds to stress and pressure. Discussion will explore the concept of mental toughness, if this can be developed or enhanced through psychological skills training, it’s role in wellbeing and approaches to development. The talk will end with a discussion of the implications for employers.
