Framed around the notion of gathering, the exhibition assembles layered narratives of commensality — the act of sharing a meal — alongside individual artistic practices. The table, imagined as a temporary living archive of shared and contrasting experiences, is set with personalised elements: placemats, cutlery, and tableware brought together to form a collective landscape. These objects become symbols of exchange and play, revealing the micro-interactions and collaborative gestures that have emerged through shared making.
Developed through a series of encounters, the group exhibition presents lingering responses and personal exchanges shaped by contact, conversation, and collective work. It questions ideas of multi-authorship and cross-collaboration, exploring how collective practices take form and shift with space. Offering moments of togetherness in an increasingly individual world.
Initiated as a working group with artists from London and beyond, this exhibition marks the culmination of Together Togather’ a project led by artist, curator, and practitioner Sara David, gathering the reflections and outcomes of collaborative exploration and creative encounter.
