Olsen Lecture 2022 – "Has Covid fractured the way we live?"

We are delighted to welcome Carol Cooper, doctor and journalist, for the annual Tom Olsen Lecture on Tuesday 6th September, at 6:30pm.

The Lecture, “Has Covid fractured the way we live?”, assesses the effects of the pandemic on everyday life.

The event will also be streamed live on the St Bride’s YouTube channel. Please register to be sent the event link.

Alongside working as a GP and raising three sons, Cooper has contributed to titles ranging from The Lancet to The Sun, where she wrote as The Sun Doctor for 21 years. She teaches on medicine in the media at Imperial College Medical School and was elected President of the Guild of Health Writers in 2014. She is also a Fellow of Newnham College, Cambridge.

Her non-fiction includes numerous books on child health and parenting, as well as an award-winning textbook of general practice. More recently, she has turned to writing novels with a medical strand.
