Tony Cealy will join us to talk about how “the theatre is not just a show, it’s a tool for fighting.”

Tony Cealy is a creative practitioner and cultural producer who uses the arts to create dialogue about social, economic and political concerns. He is passionate about co-creating innovative and effective policy solutions alongside people most affected by them. At the heart of everything he does is a commitment to care, curiosity, and compassion—creating spaces where audiences don't just observe but actively participate in shaping the conversations that matter most. He is an expert at guiding groups of all ages through playful explorations, creating safe and inspiring spaces where participants can discover, learn, and connect meaningfully. He crafts impactful community engagement events with expertise in participatory theatre that amplifies community voices and creates authentic shared experiences. He works in partnership with governments, advocacy organisations, and community groups to co-create programmes, projects and events that support people to live with the uncertainty and complexity that surrounds them to create policy change through participatory processes that are joyful, creative and accessible. Out of these partnerships and collaborations he co-designs a range of community led workshops, performances, projects and programmes that are about empowerment and social change.
