ABOUT

QUORUM is a series of theatre and performance research seminars hosted by the Department of Drama, Queen Mary, University of London. Academics, artists, professionals, and practitioners working in performance and related fields are invited to share and discuss their research. Recent papers have demonstrated wide-ranging and interdisciplinary concerns which present and provoke pressing questions at the forefront of performance and related studies. This year, QUORUM will be hosted in a mixed mode - both online and in person. Events are free and tickets are available via the Eventbrite website. There are two listings for each event, one in person, and one on-line. Please register for the appropriate event so we can safely manage in person events.

QUORUM heartily encourages any interested persons to join us, including members of the public, undergraduates, postgraduates, artists, and professionals.

WHEN AND WHERE

QUORUM events are generally on Wednesday evenings every other week. Following a soft start, speakers present for 45 minutes followed by questions. On-line QUORUM is hosted via Zoom; in person events will usually take place in Arts One Builidng, Queen Mary University of London Mile End Campus, London E1 4NS.

The Arts One building is easily accessible within five minutes walk from Mile End station or a ten-minute walk from Stepney Green station.

QUORUM COMMITTEE

The QUORUM committee comprises of current PhD students at the Department of Drama, Queen Mary, University of London.

For 2022-2023, the members of the committee are Alicia Jane Turner (they/them), Chloe Vollenweider (she/her), Emma Welton (she/her), and Pedro Andrés Pérez Rothstein (he/him).
