Healing Justice Ldn emerged as a collaboration by Women of Colour living in London working on the intersection of community work, trauma and health, creativity and liberation practice. We build community health, repair and self-transformation rooted in disability justice, somatic survivor work and trauma-informed practice working with communities of colour and other marginalised and underrepresented groups.

We are delighted to launch Tools to Transform with a conversation exploring practices of intra and inter-community solidarity, with workbook contributors Claire Chou Doran, Kay Stephens from daikon*, Maya Bhardwaj and Vicky Truong; co-hosted by Asia Art Activism, Healing Justice Ldn and Unthaitled. Tools to Transform is a workbook for Asian diasporic organising in Europe. Co-edited by 8 Asian grassroot networks, this workbook shares on-the-ground reflections, strategies and practices from 10 organisers and collectives working in relation to South, South-east and East Asian communities across Europe. Tools to Transform is a free online resource, aimed at artists, curators, educators, community leaders and all others interested in organising in relation to Asian diasporas and building intra and inter-community solidarities. The workbook shares contributions including: conflict transformation, abolitionist approaches to Hate Crime, lessons for Asian and Black solidarity, queering care, and healing through food and ancestral knowledge. www.toolstotransform.net will go live on 20 May 2021--Claire Chou Doran is a peacebuilder and facilitator specialising in intercultural conflict transformation, with a focus on culture, gender and migration. A mediator and dedicated advocate for community mediation, Claire served as Program Director at the Asian Pacific American Dispute Resolution Center (APADRC) in Los Angeles, the only community mediation centre in the United States created to offer culturally sensitive and language-specific mediation. She is an associate of Asia Art Activism, and currently based in St Leonards-on-Sea on the south coast of England.Kay Stephens is a member of daikon*, a zine collective of queer South East and East Asian people based in London, UK. daikon* was created as a platform to build community, provide space for underrepresented voices and narratives, and expand the space for creativity in political activism. We also seek to build radical and educational resources, primarily by and for South East and East Asian people of marginalised genders in the UK diaspora.Maya Bhardwaj is a community organiser, facilitator, trainer, researcher, and musician and artist with 10 years of experience in organizing and campaign work across a variety of issues and sectors. She is originally from Detroit with roots and community in Bangalore and New York. Maya has been based in London for the past year at SOAS, University of London, where she has been studying queer activism in the South Asian diaspora in solidarity with Black liberation, and working as a consultant with various organizing groups in the UK and the US. Prior to living in London, she was based between Mexico City and New York City as the It Takes Roots National Coordinator with Grassroots Global Justice Alliance, and also spent time as the Housing Lead Organizer with Faith in New York. Vicky Truong plants seeds that&#x27;ll break the foundation our society was built upon. She wants people to flourish in their own ways as they connect to a movement that works towards a more sublime future. She truly believes that everyone can be leaders of change and focuses on empowering others for this. Vicky is a committed activist and community builder working closely with the Asian diaspora, migrant-seen communities in Germany and LGBTQIA+ community; organising festivals, events, workshops and discussions. Food has been a centre for much of her work as an alternative educator, designer and cook. --Tools to Transform is a project initiated by Joon Lynn Goh &amp; Annie Jael Kwan from Asia Art Activism, in partnership with Sarnt Utamachote &amp; Rosalia Namsai Engchuan from un.thai.tled, Farzana Khan from Healing Justice Ldn, Thao Ho from DAMN* Deutsche Asiat*innen, Make Noise!, Dr Joyce Jiang from The Voice of Domestic workers, Litchi Ly Friedrich from House of Saint Laurent Europe, and Nguyễn Thanh Thủy &amp; Stefan Östersjö from The Six Tones. Tools to Transform Contributors are Alexis Convento, Amal Khalaf, The Bitten Peach, Claire Chou Doran, daikon*, Jee Chan, Joyce Jiang, Maya Bhardwaj, Mo’Halla and Vicky Truong.
